Pet Portrait Commissions
I work with high-quality coloured pencils such as Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Luminance, and Pablo's for my pet portrait commissions. These tools allow me to achieve great detail and depth in my portraits. I typically use Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed Watercolour paper for its surface and ability to hold multiple pencil layers.
Generally, I dedicate between 25-50 hours to each portrait, to achieve as much realism as possible. During the whole process, I will want to know all about your pet - their name, personality, traits, what you treasure most about them, and what features you love about them - I truly believe this plays a great part in capturing them in the finished piece.
Some of the main things to consider include the size of the commission, the number of subjects and the type of animals you'd like me to draw. Read my terms and conditions to find more information.

Get in touch with me through my contact form, socials or email to ask me any questions or to take the first steps to your pet portrait commission.

4 /Starting your commission
I will contact you roughly one week before starting your commission when we can reconfirm details. During the process, I will be in constant communication to gather your feedback and make any necessary changes.

2 /Consultation
Here, I will want to know all about your pet - their name, personality, traits, and what features you love about them. We'll also discuss your commission in detail, including portrait size, timeframes, and mounting/framing options.

5 /Completing your commission
After completing your pet portrait commission I will send images to confirm you are 100% happy or if you would like to add any final details*. Once satisfied, the outstanding fee is required and your certificate of authenticy will be produced.

3 /Booking confirmation
To confirm your commission, you must pay a 20%, non-refundable deposit, which will be taken off of the final cost. Without this, your commission cannot be scheduled.

6 /Receiving your commission
To receive your pet commission, you can collect it in person (delivered by myself or you can pick it up) or have it delivered via post. Postal charges will be factored into the final commission price.
*Only minor changes can be requested whilst finalising your portrait. I will consider and review all requests and advise based on my professional and technical experience.
